Our Company was founded in February of 2009 as Charlene Rose Dance Company by World Salsa Champion, Charlene Rose. Our purpose is to provide performance opportunities and skills to dance aficionados from the Amateur to Professional level. The Company has been re-named Living Room to Ballroom, and we provide dancers who have never trained or performed with the opportunity to be part of a company, work with professionals, travel, perform, and be part of a truly unique experience!
I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed taking your class, it was my first time. I haven’t taken many classes and even if I did your teaching stands out because of your dedication, passion, and of course your talent in dancing. I’m looking forward to the next time!Sossi,
I purchased your Salsa with Passion DVD at the LA salsa congress–I’ve learned so many great combos from you! I also took one of your styling classes –thanks for sharing your expertise.Cheryl,
Salsa is a partnering dance. It’s lead and follow. In most classes you learn moves and patterns. Charlene teaches the technique of lead and follow. It allows you to dance with anyone out there, not just your fellow classmates. I’ve tried almost every Salsa class in Los Angeles, and an hour with Charlene is worth a week of classes. Spend time with her and you’ll be able to interpret the music for yourself, not just repeat patterns you half remember from class. She’s detailed, easy to be around, and a damn good teacher.Erik,
I’ve sincerely enjoyed being on the team so much, I feel I’ve learned so much from everyone, and have done things I had never imagined before!! Thank you so much for all your time and dedication.Melissa,
I want to thank you for all of your great teaching and encouragement. Last night at Zanzibar I was reminded of the last time I was there…. a couple of years ago a girlfriend brought me to Zanzibar on a Saturday night (random pop/hip-hop type music… don’t really remember). She “made” me get on the dance floor and kept telling me to “dance sexy”…. she was trying to get me out of my “shell”. I literally ended up hiding in the bathroom….I am not sure what I would have said if someone would have told me how one day I would be on that dance floor performing in a black rhinestone bodysuit…… =)Anonymous,
I wanted to let you know how happy I am that I joined the Women’s Styling Performance team for The Charlene Rose Dance Company.
I recently performed at the Salsa Extravaganza in Palm Springs; it was exciting and challenging, I loved it!
Another interesting point occurred to me. I had the opportunity to take an advanced partnering salsa workshop and in the course of this workshop I got some excellent feedback from advanced male leads. More than 3 participants said “Wow! I want to dance with you again!” after they tried the choreography with me! Interestingly enough, even though I havn’t been partner dancing my partner dancing skills have greatly improved.
Thank you so much for the excellence in which you teach and the opportunity to grow as a dancer.
Yours united in love for dance!Christine,
